The meeting started out with a discussion between Mercedes and Anton about the Investiture, and needing to get the Ad ready for the Black Star and the Mews.

A sidebar on the Zip Code discussion -- people were curious about Ponca's status as there have been different rumors about them wanting to be a canton of here or there, currently it is believed that they are to become an incipient shires.  Other rumors suggest that Bartlesville and Stroud may want to be cantons (Ian denies all rumors that Pryor wants to become its own canton, several other suggestions for cantons were put forth, including Diarmaid's house, but these were rejected).

Back to the Investiture discussion.  Alton wants to run a melee alongside the toy tourney, particularly since we've given up the hunt idea for this one, but he really needs to formalize that with Mary Blackaxe since that's her bailiwick, and we don't want her to feel too bounced around and sandwiched in (there was some discussion about who should and how to get in contact with MB).  It was fairly well established that everyone else in the region has been pretty gracious about working with us on the date we were given for the Investiture, and we would like to alienate as few people as possible.  Particularly, as was brought up, since there has been some history about Northkeep and Toy Tourney.

The location for Investiture had not been settled - either Cimarron or Will Rogers.  After some further discussion, Ian said that he still needed to nail down a price with Will Rogers (which can be a problem since the person there isn't always good at returning phone calls), but that he would call them on Monday and email Mercedes and Anton (as well as let Etienne know) so they can get the ad off early this week   Other locations were discussed near Tulsa, including Camp McClintock near Bartlesville and Robbers cave.

Anton and Catrin will do the cake for Larissa's daughter.

Walkie-talkies are at Ian's and we have plenty, even subtracting T&S's personal units.  Batteries are fine.  Fire extinguishers need to be checked.

Dirgeliion volunteered to coordinate the crash space.  We need hotel information for Cleveland and have that put on the web page.

Bjortlic and Elisabetha are in charge of decorating the hall (there is a question of who will be in charge of feast hall set up).  Ian has some banners at his house,  If people want to paint wall hangings or whatnot, or bring banners, they should.  Kiegan will be taking care of the head table, and while we have things like old runners, we need new table runner for head table  Embroidered table linen for feast tokens.  We may need a a very LARGE head table, since HM has requested they all be there, and she has frequently in the past had all the landeds sitting Court at the same time.

Numbers breakdown of feast ensued, and how we seated people for the last investiture -- we are planning on 150 +25 comp (normally 10 +15 servers), but with 23 landeds potentially expected, that could mean at least 30 comp before we even look at servers.  Gillian of Mooneshadowe is supposed to be handling the servers.  No feast reservations -- at best RSVPs in the Invites (Robert is wanting personal scrolls)

(150-200+) coins for site tokens.  Bjorlich was looking into the details as of last Needleworkers.  Other site token ideas to be discussed for next investiture planning meeting.  The date for this was set as the Sunday after Guardian, 16 Sept, 2.00 - before Officer's at 3.

It was decided after much discussion of mini-courts during the day, long courts, investing before feast, before lunch, and so on, that we really needed to speak with HM to see how she wanted to handle all this, since it all hinges on her.

Anton expressed concern for needing a plan for the absolute worst case weather scenario, and related a story of a Canadian telephone investiture in the olden days.

We will be polled on Sunday 30 Sept.  We need to have a solid listing of the aspirants.  Rosamund and Etienne have submitted their names.  They replace Yoshii who has moved elsewhere.

Dionadair will be 8 Sept, starting "early" in the morning (about 10), followed by the Ensign.  Susan-t-C clarified that she is NOT in charge of this demo, although she will have some flyers ready (this prompted the question of who IS in charge -- apparently no one).  People need to bring out A&S stuff, and show off, be friendly and talk to the Public.  S-t-C will contact the Media.  Previously Brigit and Katsutochi have taped the Dionadair -- who will now, since their activity appears to have been reduced lately?   Who will run the list (it was thought that Damon and Ismet have done so in the past) Questions, questions...    There will be a Revel on the 8th at Angus and Ciana's, arrive after 6 to begin around 7 -- the hostess requests that we avoid dragging any freakier than normal people to the revel.   We will have a viewing of the Investiture tape at the revel.

Also on the 8th is Wolfstar family reunion and a Newcomer thing in Norman.

We will be unloading the Baronial trailer on the 9th at Faolan's house.

A discussion about Rundel, and their event in November.  There was some discussion about money use for events, segueing into a general exchange on the difficulties of office definitions, and the Reeve's in particular.  A group (Ian, Kelandra, Ainar, Mercedes, S't'C) will be  heading down to visit them this Tuesday and talk (about this and other non-pecuniary things).

Finally: Baronial aspirant's letters to the populace, and their answers to Lynn's questions, need to be ready quickly; discussion of Heraldic stuff; new pages/maps at web site; no one present for loaner armor $$; whether hall banners should conflict heraldicly with stuff; meeting finally ended by degrading into a chat about the hundred's of messages about "pay to play" on the red tape list...
