Competitions

There are six main competitions at Castellan:

1. Archer
2. Artisan (A&S Entries)
3. Drighton (Heavy Weapons)
4. Marksman (Live Weapons)
5. Provost (Light Weapons)
6. Titled Bard

The drighton list(armourd combat) will be the normal two twenty minute speed rounds, the first is normally fighters choice and the second is normally two handed weapons. the curren drighton may have a twist of his own added. I do not know yet on the rapier, the A&S is the normal juried competition using the Kingdom judging forms. I believe the archer uses standard ikac rules. the Bardic is a challenge format performing for the populace until the end of the time limit(2:30/3ish) the the top entrants have one hour to compose an original piece on a topic set at the event. The Marksman(axe,knife and spear) is a "normal throw off.

The Castellan Title

In addition to the individual competitions at the event, there is also an overall competition for the tile of "Castellan," from which the event takes its name. Each entrant for the Castellan title must enter at least 3 competitions: one must be a Martial, and one must be either of the A&S or Bardic competitions.
